How to Saute like a Chef


  • Medium Shallot- Diced
  • Green Zucchini- Diced
  • Olive Oil
  • Sprig of Thyme
  • NOTE: You can use any vegetables you like


Dice 1 medium sized shallot and zucchini. Ensuring the pieces are the same size to cook evenly. (You could use mushrooms, squash, peas or potatoes)

Add a drop of extra virgin olive oil to skillet for flavour

Once oil is hot place shallots and zucchini into skillet. 

Jerking the pan back and forth flipping the ingredients in the pan to saute (practice with dry rice beforehand if needed). An angled side pan will help bring the food back into the middle of the pan. 

Add a pinch of salt and a sprig of thyme to skillet for additional flavour.
